Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and she were two of the earliest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July 1971. Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. She began her career in the industry at an early age winning local contests by the age of 10, and recording her first album at the age of 14. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. The first album she released as a collective with this band came out in the year 1989.
